Works as a choreographer, teacher, and freelance dancer living in Freiburg, Germany. Since October 2018, he has been working with his new organization “moving orchestra” in Freiburg and is a guest professor at Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. He teaches and creates at Codarts Rotterdam/N, Fontys Tilburg/N, Tanzwerk 101 Zurich/CH, Amsterdam University/N, Danceworks Berlin, Marameo Berlin, Sozo Kassel, and many others.

Studied dance at the “Princesse Grace” Academy in Monte Carlo, directed by Marika Besobrasova. In 1983, he was awarded a scholarship for the 1st Advanced Course at the Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia, immediately joining the Aterballetto company, directed by Amedeo Amodio, where he danced choreographies by Amodio, Tetley, Tudor, Balanchine, Forsythe, Childs, Ailey, Kylián, Béjart. In 1997, Mauro Bigonzetti, the new Director of the company, reconfirmed him both as a dancer and as an assistant to the choreography. Since September 2002, he has been the Maître de Ballet.

Trained at the Ballet School of Tuscany and from 2011 to 2021 was a dancer at Aterballetto. In 2021, he began a career as a freelance choreographer. In 2021, he was selected for the Vetrina giovane danza d’autore, participated in the ResiDance action by the Anticorpi XL Network, and in 2023, accessed the Open Studios of the NID in Cagliari. He has created works for Aterballetto, MM Contemporary Dance Company, National Theater Mannheim, Ballett Vorpormmern, Staatsoper Hannover, Opus Ballet Company, and others. He won the Danza&Danza “Emerging Choreographer” award in 2023.

Has worked as a dancer with some of the most important companies and choreographers in Europe and the United States, including Gothenburg Operan Dans Kompani, Pacific Northwest Ballet – Ballet Frankfurt, and The Forsythe Company. Currently teaches and creates works for companies, festivals, and universities worldwide. Among these: The Netherlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive, Carte Blanche, Gothenburg Operan Dans Kompani, Norrdans, Skånes Dans Theater, and many others.
– Pablo Girolami | May 27-June 1, 2024
Studied at the Tanz Akademie Zurich where he graduated in 2014. He began his professional career as a dancer in Wiesbaden/Darmstadt with the Hessisches Staatsballett. In 2018, he danced for Spellbound Contemporary Ballet. He is currently a freelance choreographer and artistic director of IVONA, a project company founded by him in 2019. Since 2017, he has created works for Hessisches Staatsballett, DeDa Production and Café Klatsch, EgriBianco Danza, Kseij Dance company, The LabCollective, TanzWerk101 Zurich. In 2020, Pablo Girolami was selected by the AnticorpiXL Network for the ResidanceXL action.
