“The City of Dance” is the way in which we tell the cultural, social and identity role played by this art in Reggio Emilia, thanks to the commitment of the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza, the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, the collaboration of many institutions, the activities of dance schools and institutions.
“The City of Dance” is an opportunity for the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza/Aterballetto to make its artistic, ducational and social work visible to all citizens, particularly in the context of the Polo delle Arti promoted together with the Municipality, the Fondazione I Teatri and the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali ‘A.Peri’. And to underline the openness to different dimensions (childhood or fragility) and the renewed ability to propose important performance events.
We would like to highlight our relationships with the various players in the community, our strong participation in the daily life of the city and those who live in it, and how much dance today can communicate that beauty can be made accessible to everyone.
