“Why do we remember the past and not the future? Do we exist in time or does time exist in us? What does it really mean for time to flow? What connects time to our nature as subjects? What do I hear when I hear the passing of time?”
– Carlo Rovelli
Making its national premiere at the MILANoLTRE Festival, the choreography directed by Lara Guidetti, in co-production with Compagnia Sanpapiè, is featured in Over Dance, a project promoted by the Centro Coreografico Nazionale / Aterballetto on the theme of longevity in dance.
Taca Tè, in Emilian dialect “you start”, is a challenge to the right to exist in time, played out between two bodies far apart in age that converge in the present of dance. On stage, Antonio Caporilli and Francesca Lastella confront the grand theme of time and intergenerational encounter through relentless physical debate. Past and future mirror each other in an attempt to build a relationship capable of moving fearlessly along the timeline in both directions.
