FND/Aterballetto-Stravaganze in sol minore
Stravaganze in sol minore by Francesca Lattuada arrives at the Colpi di Scena Festival in Forlì.
The magical virtuosity of Toti Scialoja (1914-1998), a master not only of images but also of words, with which a dancer and a baritone play, is at the heart of this new creation for children, signed by the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto.
The almost magical vibrations that emanate from Scialoja’s poems are like the infinite rings that form on the surface of the water when a stone is thrown: evocative of unreal or hyperreal images, carriers of a musicality that blends poetry and nursery rhyme, making the extraordinary and the frightening hold hands.
Under a clump of scarlet roses
The toad offers hot tea with milk
Under a clump of peacock-blue roses
It’s the toad’s turn to rinse the cups.
