(Ricordare) remember comes from the Latin: re- indietro and cor cuore. Recall in heart.
In ancient times, the heart was thought to be the home of memory, which today we know to be the brain.
In these terms, therefore, remembering does not only mean ‘having memory’ but having past experiences live inside you, making them impact your essence and your life.
Tales and anecdotes, but also desires, goals and dreams. And also assumptions, fears and apprehensions about what we will be, about what is to come.
The end result of a workshop on childhood seen by those who lived it not too long ago and at the same time, in imagining themselves old, by those who today can only assume memories still unknown.

Here was the greeting you had to become.
I awaited it with understanding because in all our things there were sentences and redemptions. In it is included the desire to which I had to return and which I had to keep. A resolute control of aspirations is necessary in order not to become a victim of them.
You are without siege, and I am no longer a smile but winter. Cover yourself too.
You said that every body seeks, calls, must fulfil itself. It is true, here is the ritual to go.
I feel that you want to drag me into your space but I have chosen to return to myself, in symbiosis with my wide gestures and without constraints. Until they are fulfilled we will guard our sleeps but stand in profile to give access to the nightmares.
Then I will open my hands as in a space of my own, without having yours around to take one last close look.

The perception of time is highly subjective, each of us has its own past. We are our past. This is shown by our faces with the signs of advancing age, it is shown by our eyes in which a mixture of disappointment and satisfaction shines through.
Without memory of the past, without projection into the future, we cannot make sense of the world and the people in it.
So it is up to us to choose and ask ourselves questions, is time our ally? Can it heal our wounds? Or do we use time only to forget and eventually forgive?

StudioXL is aimed at dancers aged 18 and over who wish to deepen their study of the contemporary performing arts.
It is an eight-month long advanced training course during which they will alternate study, research and performance throughout Europe.
Internationally renowned professional choreographers also participate in the project in order to give the dancers the best training possible.
The aim of the study course is to refine the technical, scenic and expressive skills of each dancer and to guide them to the discovery and enhancement of their professional identity.
