È pericoloso non sporgersi
On Wednesday, Dec. 7, 6 p.m. at Chiostri San Pietro in Reggio Emilia we present È pericoloso non sporgersi, a surprising new production only available with virtual reality visors.
Choreography and direction are by Francesca Lattuada, a visionary artist active in France, who starts from the historical memory of some rooms of the Museo di storia della psichiatria, and leans on the ability of the extraordinary contortionist Lise Pauton to force, almost distort, the perception of reality. Her metamorphoses will be incessant, leading to the blurring of ordinary temporality, the loss of the most concrete notions of spatiality (high-low, big-small, visible-invisible…).
The viewer will thus experience an immersion in a world in which all habitual references have vanished. A bit like what could happen to the guests of the Lombroso Pavilion.

The work is created on the occasion of the billboard Identità inquieta, a great choral work of the city of Reggio Emilia involving institutions and organizations of social, educational and cultural life, with the intention of offering a rich and varied calendar of cultural events to show visions on the infinite nuances of identity.
È pericoloso non sporgersi is within the Virtual Dance for Real People project.

At 29, accused of stealing chickens, she spent 33 days in the Lombroso Pavilion.
The testimonies of nurses, patients and doctors describe a discreet, sweet and silent woman.
Adalgisa claims to be inhabited by four entities:
— The Winged man, age 35. — The Infant, age 7.
— The Age-less Phantom — An invisible entity that sometimes calls the Beast and sometimes the Light, who heals her and whom she heals.
The transformations raise amazement and fright; Adalgisa’s body, habitually rigid, becomes disconcertingly flexible.
