Roberto Tedesco was born in Paola (Cosenza, Italy) in 1992. He began training in 2003 at the dance school Danza Koreos. After a few years he began his classical training. In 2008-09, he trained at Bruno Verzino’s New World Ballet School in Cosenza thanks to a scholarship and performed with the Balletto di Calabria Dance Company.
In 2009, he participated in the auditions of the Scuola del Balletto di Toscana and obtained a scholarship. He attended the school and joined the company of young dancers Junior BdT performing in works of M. Bigonzetti, F. Nappa, A. Bigonzetti, E. Scigliano, M. Merola, C. Rizzo, F. Monteverde, A. Benedetti.
In February 2011, he danced with the company of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, appearing in a work by A. Foniadakis.
In September 2011 he joined Compagnia Aterballetto.
In 2017 he created for Aterballetto Apnea, which was selected for 32^ International Choreographic Competition Hannover.
His choreography Cemento is within the dance and photography project In/Finito (2018).
Roberto was awarded at the 34th edition of the International Choreographic Competition Hannover (5 and 6 June 2020) for his choreography AGR Duet. He won the Critic’s Prize and the NTM-Production Award.
