Giulio Pighini was born in Massa Marittima (Grosseto, Italy) in 1988. He started his dance training at nine at the “Centro Studi Danza” in Follonica (Grosseto). In July 2004, he won first prize as soloist in the dance contest “Città di Grosseto”. In the summer of the same year, he attended the course “School Off Jazz” in Nice (France), where he trained with several teachers including G. Loringet, P. Valero, L. Kamò.

In August 2004, he entered in the school of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. In September 2005, he obtained a scholarship to study at the school of the Balletto di Toscana in Florence, under the direction of Cristina Bozzolini, and became part of the company for young dancers Junior Balletto di Toscana.

He joined Aterballetto in September 2007.
