NEW YEAR’S CONCERT 2025: ATERBALLETTO AND MARCOS MORAU LIVE ON RAI 1
New Year 2025? This year, we at CCN/Aterballetto are celebrating the arrival of the New Year with our audience, live on Rai 1 on January 1st at 12:20 PM, during the New Year’s Concert at Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
The twenty-second edition of this eagerly awaited concert will be conducted by Daniel Harding, who leads the Orchestra and Choir of Teatro La Fenice along with the two soloists, soprano Mariangela Sicilia and tenor Francesco Demuro.
During the live broadcast, the dancers of the Aterballetto Company bring the music to life with choreography created specifically for the occasion by Marcos Morau, accompanying pieces by Antonio Vivaldi (L’inverno, first movement), Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari (Intermezzo from I quatro rusteghi), Georges Bizet (Danse bohème from Carmen, suite no. 2) and Giuseppe Verdi (featuring the traditional toast from La traviata: Libiam ne’ lieti calici). Directed by Fabrizio Guttuso Alaimo, the broadcast alternates Aterballetto’s dance performances with live images of the concert, guiding the audience outside the theater to explore Venice and its iconic landmarks.
