The collaboration with Collezione Maramotti gives rise to “Touchpoint”

Aligned in their shared vocation for multidisciplinary and experimental artistic research, CCN/Aterballetto and Collezione Maramotti come together for a multimedia project blending dance and visual arts, available online on our digital channels starting September 30, 2024.

Through the release of sixteen video clips, Touchpoint narrates the encounter between the dancers of Aterballetto and sixteen works on display in the Collection: inspired by the evocative power of contemporary art, the artists express themselves freely in front of the camera, crafting original gestures, interpretations, and costumes. The bodies transform into works of art in motion: the dancer’s individual experience illuminates a new way of relating to the artwork, in a silent dialogue between object and individual, as they discover and recognize one another.

Far from seeking answers or establishing a single interpretation of the works, the dancers’ actions expand the boundaries of the artworks, trace unexpected trajectories, and imbue the installations with new meanings, celebrating art in its many forms, beyond the physical limits of the exhibition halls.

The works—fifteen displayed in the Collection’s halls in Reggio Emilia and one at the Max Mara flagship store in Milan—are grouped into four thematic clusters: Icon, Landscape, Essence, and Dwelling. Each of these themes corresponds to the release of four clips on the digital channels of CCN/Aterballetto and Collezione Maramotti, continuing throughout the month of October.
