“A GIG is an opening or closing number. Something short that serves to warm up the audience or bid ‘goodnight’ to those who came to see us. In ‘rock jargon,’ it is often performed by a group that is the headliner of an event. It’s not a full concert, but a small performance that aims to capture the style, vibrations, and intensity of the band in a few minutes. In this new MicroDance, I want to use the 2 dancers to closely engage the audience’s gaze, as if it were a small surprise in a context where a performance was unexpected, a little ‘Gig.’ With the sound of the music, the two dancers move above a text that says ‘easy,’ becoming themselves broken voice and glamorous seduction instruments.”
