Audition for High Educational and Production Project – 2025

The Centro Coreografico Nazionale / Aterballetto will launch a new advanced training program aimed at young dancers (maximum 15 participants), for a total of 5 weeks distributed between the end of March and early July 2025.

The program aims to provide participants with the technical tools necessary to deepen their knowledge of contemporary dance and movement languages through lessons, meetings, and field projects. The goal is to expand the technical and attitudinal repertoire of young dancers as they navigate the professional world.

The program’s instructors are professionals who collaborate with CCN/Aterballetto, including Iratxe Ansa & Igor Bacovich, Michael Langeneckert, Lara Guidetti, Giuseppe Calanni, and Macha Daudel.

During the program, 5 female dancers will be selected to perform the dance roles in a new production by the Fondazione Teatro di Roma, co-produced by Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto. The show will premiere in early July 2025, directed by Luca De Fusco with choreography by Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich.

The audition to participate in this program, by invitation only, will take place on October 20, 2024, at the Centro Coreografico Nazionale / Aterballetto, via della Costituzione 39 – Reggio Emilia.

The requirements to participate in the audition are:

  • Strong classical dance technique
  • Excellent contemporary dance training
  • Strong interest in research and experimentation
  • Aged 18+
  • European Union citizenship

The audition will be divided into three parts:

  • Classical dance lesson (barre and center) with Aterballetto company ballet masters
  • Choreographic workshop with Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich
  • Improvisation workshop
