Dance in Fonderia
The Fall Season 2021 in Fonderia will be opened by the Compagnia Artemis Danza directed by Monica Casadei with the latest production Dante solo inferno, a creation inspired by the first cantica of the Divine Comedy, on Sunday 12 September at 8.30 p.m. (an open rehearsal is scheduled for Saturday 11 September at 6 p.m.).
On Sunday 19 September the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto presents a programme composed of three choreographies that will be performed in the main spaces of the Fonderia. On stage Eppur si muove by Francesca Lattuada, the premiere of Punch 24 by Roberto Tedesco and A Poetry Abstraction, the creation by Diego Tortelli created in 2019 for the Marina Rinaldi by Roksanda capsule. The choreographies are danced by specially selected performers. There will be three performances of the show: 4.30 pm, 6 pm and 7.30 pm.
The choreographer Daniele Albanese is back at the Fonderia with Home Altrove, a performance and at the same time a framework for reflection on invisible communication in the border zone between action and thought, between what is here and what is elsewhere. An open rehearsal is scheduled for Saturday 25 September at 6.00 p.m., the performance on Sunday 26 September at 8.30 p.m. will be introduced by a short lecture by the philosopher Maurizio Zanardi and will be followed by an open dialogue between the philosopher and Daniele Albanese.
On Wednesday 20 October at 8.30 p.m. the contemporary Bayadère of the Nuovo BallettO di ToscanA will be an enchanting sight for the audience. Michele Di Stefano captures the timelessness of the ‘classic’ in Act III of Bayadère, the so-called Kingdom of Shadows, and translates it into a psychedelic and contemporary vision, but always with Minkus accompanying it.
On Sunday 24 October, the audience will be welcomed by the dancers of the Compagnia Sanpapié, wear silent-disc headphones and enjoy the company’s peculiar “public dance”, i.e. a shared experience of audience and performers in all the spaces of the Fonderia. The performance entitled Amigdala, signed by Lara Guidetti, will be performed at 10.30 am, 12 noon, 3 pm and 5 pm.
On Thursday 9 December at 8.30 p.m., Concerto Fisico will be performed, a physical and vocal score that retraces and redraws the history of Balletto Civile, the history of the company founded in the former Psychiatric Hospital of Udine.
There will also be events with the choreographic realities of Reggio Emilia. On Friday 29 October at 8.30 p.m. the XL Dance Company directed by Laura Matano and Emanuela Baratin presents Seamless by Sabrina Rigoni and Prima di domani by Laura Matano, while on Sunday 31 October at 8.30 p.m. the protagonists will be the performers of the advanced training course StudioXL Contemporary Dance with Next Stop_Palcoscenico, an evening with choreographies by Luna Cenere, Daniele Ziglioli, Taulant Shehu, Sabrina Rigoni.
The MM Contemporary Dance Company by Michele Merola will be in the Fonderia on Sunday 28 November at 8.30 p.m. (open rehearsal at 6.00 p.m. on Saturday 27) with Danza d’Autore, a triple bill composed of Extended by Camilla Monga, Round Trip by Roberto Tedesco and La metà dell’ombra by Michele Merola. The advanced course Agora Coaching Project will close the autumn season with Made in Italy 25.0 on Tuesday 14 December at 8.30 p.m. (open rehearsal at 6.00 p.m. on Monday 13).
